Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party – Part 3

See Part 1 and Part 2 of our MNSSHP experience.

As soon as the parade ended, we headed for Main Street to see the Princesses and their Princes meeting at Town Square Theater
On our way our of Liberty Square, though, we spotted Tiana and Naveen at their gazebo and there wasn’t anyone in line. We even asked if it was open because the first time we met Tiana, we waited 45 minutes. It was open so yay!

It was a nice little bonus that we hadn’t planned.

Next, we continued to the other princesses and princes. The parade was still going down Main Street, so we cut through the stores all the way to the front on the street. It was a good strategy – we beat the crowds and saved ourselves a seriously long wait! The sign said the wait was 50 minutes but we were in and out in 20.

The first royal couple we met at Town Square was Snow White and her Prince. (Tom asked The Prince his name. He said it was Ferdinand, but most people just call him The Prince.)

Luke decided to hide from Snow White for some reason.

At first she was upset.

Then they made up.

Snow White is just adorable!

Next, we met Cinderella and Prince Charming. I loved them! They were really lovey dovey – so cute, and authentic!

They both took a lot of time to talk to the kids. So sweet.

Our final couple was Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.

wdw20132616777360

I have to say, Flynn Rider was THE BEST. He kind of stole the show from Rapunzel.

He saw us and said “Oh, pirates! Of the Neverland variety!” He also knew who Izzy was, which most of the characters did not (Jasmine pretty much insisted Scarlett was actually Boo.)

It was good times.

Tom totally bonded with Flynn. He said Flynn was like Han Solo. I think it was appreciated.

Meeting the Princes with the Princesses was so much fun. Totally made the MNSSHP admission price worth it!

That about wrapped it up. We left the park at about 11:45pm and getting back to our car wasn’t too bad. Before we left, we got a great Halloween photo on Main Street.

I wish we could go 2 or 3 more times to do some of the things we missed. Guess we’ll just have to go again next year!

Disney Movie Night Dinner: Tangled

Tangled is one of my favorite Disney movies so I was excited to make up a dinner menu for it.

Our Tangled Menu:
Apples for Maximus
Snuggly Duckling Ale (Iced Tea)
Tower Cupcakes (An easier version of these adorable ones)

This was a great dinner because I love cornbread. Any excuse to eat it is good!

I made the cupcakes with White Chocolate Raspberry frosting and yellow Twizzlers for Rapunzel’s hair.

I added glow sticks to the paper lanterns to try to make them glow. It sorta worked!

Disney Princess Inspired Sensory Bin: Rapunzel

I hadn’t done a sensory bin in a while. With some yellow yarn on hand, it was easy to make this one for our Tangled week.

  026

This bin included:
Yarn
Purple jewels
Flower confetti
Fisher Price Little People Rapunzel Figure
029

This was a popular one! Both Luke and Scarlett loved the yarn. They spent a lot of time separating the yarn from the smaller objects. Easy clean up, too!

Disney World Character Greeting: Meeting Princesses in Town Square

We were able to get a Fastpass for both the Mickey meet & greet and the town square princesses at the same time. So right after Mickey we prepared to meet Cinderella, Aurora and Rapunzel.

Scarlett adores her Rapunzel wedding dress, so I put it on her right before we went inside. Sadly, she wore it for about two minutes and the whole time, she looked like this:

Disney World 008
Not a fan
After we took the dress off of her and convinced her we were about to see the REAL Rapunzel, she cheered up. Luke was having none of the Princess meetings, so he hung back while Scarlett got lots of royal hugs and photos.

First up was Cinderella. She was so beautiful!

Princess hugs!

The next princess was Aurora. Scarlett loves Sleeping Beauty and for some reason, meeting her inspired Scarlett to dance!

She is quite the twirler and kept the crowd entertained. Then, another hug and another picture. I like Aurora’s pose – so cute!

Finally, we met Rapunzel. Scarlett was very proud she had on a Rapunzel shirt, and also had to show off her Cinderella sneakers. Of course, Rapunzel notice the purple marker spots where Scarlett had drawn on herself in the car. Oh well, at least she was color coordinated.

Tangled is my favorite Disney movie so I was super happy to get this picture. Just LOVE the hair!

So, Scarlett went from being The Grumpiest Princess to a happy little girl. Even though she was a little shy, she had a great time.
